Judith Moran - Managing Director
Judith started the business in 2004 and is co-owner, as well as MD. She has extensive experience of the delivery of work-based training having worked in the FE sector for 20 years.
Prior to founding Learning Curve she worked at Bishop Auckland College as Head of Faculty, Business and Management, and then as Director of Workforce Development. In this role she worked extensively with numerous training providers to deliver programmes via sub-contract arrangements.
Tony Outhart - Director of Finance
Tony is co-owner of the business and has been involved as a non executive Director since it was founded in 2004. He has extensive experience of the FE/training provider sector gained from several businesses that he has been actively involved in. His main role at Learning Curve is to provide the SMT with support on strategic planning, funding and finance.
Prior to joining Learning Curve Tony set-up and was Managing Director of two educational publishing businesses, which he sold to Tribal Group plc in 2005 and 2007.
He has also worked in the FE College sector as a senior curriculum manager.
Brenda Mcleish - Director of Business Development
Brenda joined Learning Curve in 2009 and has responsibility for curriculum delivery and business development. She has extensive FE College/training provider networks in the NE and has been actively involved in managing a wide range of sub-contracted provision.
Prior to joining Learning Curve she was Assistant Principal at East Durham and Houghall College. Her main responsibilities included workforce development, partnership provision, employer engagement and strategic planning.
Brenda also has extensive experience of the inspection framework, having been East Durham College and Learning Curve’s nominee in their 2008 and 2009 Ofsted inspections respectively.
Gail Crossman - Director of Curriculum and Quality
Gail joined Learning Curve in December 2010 and has responsibility for curriculum delivery and quality assurance. She has over 20 years experience working in the FE sector and has successfully undertaken a variety of role at a senior management level.
Prior to joining Learning Curve Gail worked at a Senior Manager at East Durham College with responsibility for operational planning, teaching and learning, quality, CPD, equality and diversity and management of front line services such as advice and guidance, recruitment and student libraries.

Since 2005 Learning Curve has provided innovative training programmes by combining a range of NVQs, certificate programmes and short courses which are specially designed to meet the needs of both employers and their staff. All of our programmes are designed to complement your existing in-house training provision, whilst improving the learners knowledge and skills by assessing their core competencies against national standards.
With a team drawn from both education and industry backgrounds we have the right mix of academic and practical experience to provide the best tailored training solution possible.
We are based in the North East but have a national network of trainers and assessors so we are ideally placed to provide you with a consistent, reliable and organised service whether you have 1 site or 100 sites.
